Viewing guide: Week 8 schedule, what’s on where you live

We know you need your NFL fix, even with the Giants not playing

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at New England Patriots Brian Fluharty-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants do not play on Sunday. Regardless, it is a Sunday in the fall and you need your NFL fix — and an excuse not to deal with your latest ‘honey-do’ list. So, here is your viewing guide Week 8.

See DraftKings Sportsbook for all your odds and betting info. Use this thread to discuss games throughout the day.

1 p.m.

Carolina Panthers (3-4) at Atlanta Falcons (3-4)
(FOX — Kevin Kugler, Mark Sanchez, Laura Okmin)

I still can’t believe the Giants lost to Atlanta.

Miami Dolphins (1-6) at Buffalo Bills (4-2)
(CBS — Andrew Catalon, James Lofton, Sherree Burruss)

This one shouldn’t be much of a game.

San Francisco 49ers (2-4) at Chicago Beara (3-4)
(Fox — Adam Amin, Greg Olsen, Pam Oliver)

Shouldn’t the 49ers be better than this?

Pittsburgh Steelers (3-3) at Cleveland Browns (4-3)
(CBS — Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, Tracy Wolfson)

The big early national game. Gotta go with the Browns here, don’t you?

Philadelphia Eagles (2-5) at Detroit Lions (0-7)
(FOX — Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma, Megan Olivi)

Raise your hand if you would enjoy the Lions getting their first victory today.

Los Angeles Rams (6-1) at Houston Texans (1-6)
(FOX — Chris Myers, Daryl Johnston, Jen Hale)

Hopefully this isn’t the game you are stuck with. The Texans are barely an NFL team at this point.

Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts (3-4)
(CBS — Spero Dedes, Jay Feely)

This one should be a good game. No field reporter? CBS isn’t giving it much respect.

Cincinnati Bengals (5-2) at New York Jets (1-5)
(CBS — Kevin Harlan, Trent Green, Melanie Collins)

Mike White is at quarterback for the Jets. Complain about Dave Gettleman all you want, but not having a veteran backup for Zach Wilson is general manager malpractice by Joe Douglas.

4 p.m.

New England Patriots (3-4) at Los Angeles Chargers (4-2)
(CBS, 4:05 p.m. — Ian Eagle, Charles Davis, Evan Washburn)

Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5) at Seattle Seahawks (2-5)
(CBS, 4:05 — Greg Gumbel, Adam Archuleta, AJ Ross)

I don’t know about you, but I still get ticked off watching Geno Smith play quarterback.

Washington Football Team (2-5) at Denver Broncos (3-4)
(CBS, 4:25 — Brandon Gaudin, Mark Schlereth, Shannon Spake)

Go Broncos!

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-1) at New Orleans Saints (4-2)
(FOX, 4:25 — Joe Davis, Troy Aikman, Erin Andrews/Kristina Pink)

Do you really think Jameis Winston wins a matchup with Tom Brady?

Sunday Night Football

Dallas Cowboys (5-1) at Minnesota Vikings (3-3)
(NBC, 8:20 — Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth, Michele Tafoya)

Wouldn’t it be nice to finish your weekend watching the Cowboys lose to the Vikings?
