The New York Giants find themselves in both an expected and unexpected position heading into their Week 8 Monday Night Football game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

It isn’t surprising that the Giants enter the game as 9.5-point underdogs (as of this writing) on the road against the Chiefs. But what is surprising is that the Giants are the team coming off a three-score win, while the Chiefs are coming off a three-score loss.

But as dangerous as the Chiefs are, they just haven’t played up to their Super Bowl pedigree this year. A combination of bad match-ups, injuries, and just inconsistent play has Kansas City sitting at a 3-4 record and third in the AFC West.

They’re coming off one of their worst losses in recent memory, so is this an opportunity for the Giants, or will the Chiefs take out their recent frustrations on the Giants?

In this podcast

  • What has gone wrong for the Chiefs this year?
  • Are the Giants catching the Chiefs’ offense at the right time?
  • Is Kansas City’s defense as bad as it appears?
  • What do we expect from this game?
