The New York Giants travel to Arrowhead Stadium in Week 8 for a Monday Night Football clash against the defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Neither team is off to the kind of start it had hoped for this season. The 2-5 Giants are trying to dig their way out from under an 0-3 start. The Chiefs are only 3-4 after going 14-2 and reaching the Super Bowl a season ago. Kansas City has struggled defensively and is 27th in the league in points allowed.
The Chiefs opened the week as 9.5-point favorites, per DraftKings Sportsbook.
The Giants this week placed safety Jabrill Peppers on injured reserve. He joins Blake Martinez, Rodarius Williams, Nick Gates, Shane Lemieux and C.J. Board as Giants who have already seen their season’s end. Left tackle Andrew Thomas is on IR, but is expected to be back.
Wide receivers Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney and Sterling Shepard, along with running back Saquon Barkley, have been sidelined for the Giants. They are hopeful at least some of those players will be available Monday night against the Chiefs.
