Good morning, New York Giants fans!

Kadarius Toney out vs. Panthers?

SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano reported Tuesday that rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney (ankle) is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. That shouldn’t be a surprise after Toney left last week’s game vs. the Los Angeles Rams after only six snaps.

Toney had a 10-catch, 189-yard breakout performance Week 5 vs, the Dallas Cowboys, but entered Week 6 questionable with that ankle injury.

Vacchiano reported that the Giants do not plan to place Toney on IR, meaning they believe he will miss fewer than three games.

The Giants did place place left tackle and wide receiver/kick returner C.J. Board on IR Tuesday.

Rex Ryan: “Because that’s the stupidest thing ever. Oh, you know what? There’s one other stupider thing than that. How about running a quarterback sneak on third-and-one or something. Your guy was concussed last week, seven days. And you’re running (a) quarterback sneak with him? My goodness. ... Look, your guy just got hit in the head. What a surprise. It’s short yardage. He’s gonna get hit in the head. Quit it. Look at him, there’s Mr. Tough Guy. You run the quarterback sneak!”

Ryan Clark: “I think at some point you have to start evaluating his ability to take care of a team, right? Being a head coach is not just about delegating. It’s not just about making sure your team plays a certain way. It’s about looking in the eyes of your football players and them feeling like coach has my back. Coach understands how to take care of us and we are in this together. And if you’re a New York Giant right now, there’s no way you can feel that way about Joe Judge. This seems more about the image he wants to portray rather than connecting with the players in his locker room.”
