The 1-4 New York Giants welcome the 4-1 Los Angeles Rams to MetLife Stadium on Sunday. It’s not shaping up to be a friendly matchup for the struggling Giants. The Rams possess the second-best passing offense in the NFL with 310 yards per game.

New York, meanwhile, is dealing with several key injuries. Quarterback Daniel Jones (concussion), running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) and receiver Kenny Golladay (knee) all were hurt last week in a loss to Dallas. Jones has been cleared to play.

Meanwhile, receivers Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton and safety Jabrill Peppers, all of whom were out with hamstring issues, are expected to suit up. Cornerback Rodarius Williams is out for the year with a torn ACL.

Giants rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney has slowly emerged as a real threat, though. On Sunday he set a Giants rookie record and set career-highs in receptions (10) and receiving yards (189), the most yards by a rookie since Juju Smith-Schuster (193 yards in 2017).

The Rams used to have the NFL’s top defense, but those days are gone since former defensive coordinator Brandon Staley joined the Los Angeles Chargers. Los Angeles is ranked 23rd in yards allowed and 13th in points allowed. However, heir pass rush is still good and Jalen Ramsey is having another great season.
