The short-handed New York Giants (1-4) face a monumental task this week against the 4-1 Los Angeles Rams. DraftKings Sportsbook currently lists the Giants as 9.5-point underdogs.
The Giants will be without star running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) and star wide receiver Kenny Golladay (knee). They could be without quarterback Daniel Jones, who is in the league’s concussion protocol after a helmet-to-helmet hit Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
They may get some reinforcements, though. Wide receivers Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton, and safety Jabrill Peppers, who have all missed time with hamstring injuries, could return. So, too, could starting left tackle Andrew Thomas (foot).
The Rams are coming off a Thursday Night Football victory over the Seattle Seahawks, meaning they will have had 10 days to prepare for Sunday’s meeting with New York.
