NFL: New York Giants at New Orleans Saints Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

The 1-3 New York Giants travel to Arlington, Texas on Sunday to battle the 3-1 Dallas Cowboys, who currently sit atop the NFC East.

A Giants win would undoubtedly inject a surge of faith into Big Blue’s fanbase and would shake up the NFC East picture. And spirits are already high after Daniel Jones was named NFC offensive player of the week.

But not so fast! The Cowboys are a good football team. They put up the third-most yards per game in the NFL, powered by a legitimate rush attack averaging 166 yards every game. Dallas’ defense is not as effective as its offense, but it’s currently tied for an NFL-leading +7 turnover differential. The Cowboys currently have an NFL-best eight interceptions on the year.

Returning to New York, it won’t be an easy next six weeks for the Giants. The team’s six-week gauntlet includes dates against the Cowboys, Rams, Panthers, Chiefs, Raiders and Buccaneers.

Meanwhile, left tackle Andrew Thomas, hobbled all week by a foot injury, has officially been listed as questionable. Receivers Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and Darius Slayton (hamstring) are out, as is safety Jabrill Peppers (hamstring) and offensive lineman Ben Bredeson (hand).
