The New York Giants revolving door at offensive line coach is about to take another spin, according to a tweet from Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post. Dunleavy is reporting that the contract of offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo has expired, and that the Giants are “casting a wide net” in search of a replacement.
DeGuglielmo, of course, was a late-season replacement for Marc Colombo. Head coach Joe Judge fired Colombo when the latter took exception to DeGuglielmo’s addition to the coaching staff as a consultant.
DeGuglielmo has been mentioned as possibility to surface with the Philadelphia Eagles if josh McDaniels gets the head-coaching job there. McDaniels hired DeGuglielmo to be on his staff with the Indianapolis Colts before McDaniels left the Colts at the altar to stay with the New England Patriots.
Interestingly, current Eagles offensive line coach and run game coordinator Jeff Stoutland, worked with Judge when both were assistants at Alabama under Nick Saban.
