Can the New York Giants reach the playoffs and win the NFC East? Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys is the first piece needed for the Giants to head to the promise land. As we’ve done every game this season, we simulated this weekend's matchup in Madden 21 to predict how the game could turnout. According to Madden, the Giants’ season may not end the way fans hope.
In this simulation, neither team clearly held a significant advantage. Both teams traded blows in the first half, with the game knotted up at 14-14. Eventually, in the third quarter, Greg Zuerlein gave Dallas a 17-14 lead.
With the game on the line, and only one minute remaining, Dallas marched down the field and pushed the game out of range with an Ezekiel Elliott rushing touchdown. Daniel Jones did score a garbage-time touchdown, finishing off the score at 24-21.
Jones finished the game going 20 of 26 for 212 yards, and two touchdowns. Evan Engram also had a decent day, hauling in five receptions for 71 yards.
According to Madden, the Giants might be coming up short against the Cowboys. With a shot at the playoffs on the line, the Giants will need a much different outcome than the simulated one.
