Good morning, New York Giants fans!
Bleacher Report says the Giants should avoid Corey Davis of the Tennessee Titans.
The issues with targeting Davis are twofold. For one, he has yet to experience a true breakout season and struggled with consistency before Ryan Tannehill’s arrival. There’s no guarantee that he’d be a functional top target for the uneven Daniel Jones.
Just as importantly, Davis isn’t likely to be a budget option coming off the best season of his pro career—and the Giants are projected to be over the salary cap. If New York is able to free up cap room, it would be better off using it on an incumbent player like Leonard Williams.
Could the Eagles wind up looking for a new head coach?
Smith said he hasn’t reached any conclusions yet about his future, saying he will take a few weeks to clear his head and talk over his future with his wife, Elizabeth.
“I had so much fun this year, to be back in the locker room and on the field to play a game I love and to lose yourself in it is one of the great feelings in the world,” Smith said. “My wife has been through a lot, my family has been through a lot, but that’s for another time and place.” ...
“It was more about the attempt and the journey than the outcome,” he said. “If I had come up short trying to come back, I would have slept just fine at night knowing I tried. I’m grateful I’m here right now.”
