As we head toward noon on roster cut day, things have been slow so far in terms of reported moves by the New York Giants.
Only three players have reportedly been cut — defensive backs KeiVarae Russell and Dravon Askew-Henry, and offensive tackle Eric Smith.
Russell was signed only a few days ago did not make a lasting impression. Askew-Henry last played in the XFL, and there is some speculation he could land on the 16-man practice squad.
Smith struggled in a handful of snaps last season, and had clearly been surpassed on the depth chart by third-round pick Matt Peart.
The Giants have to reach 53 players by 4 p.m. ET, so things are going to pick up this afternoon.
