“I think anybody who looks at it, you know we’re in the position of needing to get better, needing to improve, needing to come together as a unit, not getting in our feelings, and we just need to push each other to that next point to make sure we don’t keep this streak going.”

Tight end Evan Engram on the mindset going forward ...

“We can’t walk around here and come to work each and every day not feeling confident about ourselves and not coming in with a clear mind towards getting better. Today didn’t end up the way we wanted it. Obviously, there are things we have to clean up and be better at. We’re not going to feel bad four ourselves. We’re definitely not going to doubt ourselves. We’re going to continue to work and answer towards this adversity.”

Engram on why this Giants team is different than others he has been on ...

“That’s just how this team is built. That’s how I’m built. Like I said, there is no feeling sorry for ourselves for this team. We still have opportunities left. We have a new opponent next week that we can come out and answer again. That’s our focus right now. We’re going to watch the tape, clean up our mistakes and continue to work and try to get this thing going.”

Leonard Williams on being “close” ...

“I do think we do have a really good team and a tough team, and I never see any quit in this team. I believe that we’re right there and we just need to fix a few pieces and a few little gaps here and there and stop beating ourselves. It’s already hard to beat a team and it’s going to be harder when we’re making mistakes on ourselves as well, so I just think that we need to overcome a few of those mistakes that we’ve been making and just keep playing hard.

Williams on the post-game message from coach Joe Judge ...

“He just said now is not the time to reinvent the wheel. He believes in this team, he believes that we work hard and fight for it. That’s basically what we’re going to do when Wednesday comes. We’re going to watch film tomorrow, put this game behind us and go on to the Rams next week. Just nonstop working hard and one day it’s going to come through.”

Daniel Jones on “deflating” loss ...

“I don’t think any of us came in expecting this, but I think as a team now, we understand we can’t let that affect our confidence going forward. I’m confident in the guys we have in the locker room, the mindset that we have. You take it and learn from it, but not let this situation define us and understand what we need to do moving forward and improve as a team.”

“I think for us as a team and for everyone in the building, it’s important that we correct the things that went wrong. We understand what went wrong and we’ll improve from this game, and not to let it define us as a team. We know that we’re capable of playing a lot better than we did today. I think there were a lot of things that happened that were uncharacteristic of who we are and what we can be. As a team, we need to understand that, we need to move forward and go back to work determined to play better and to fix the things that have gotten in our way these first few weeks.”
