The New York Giants took a gutpunch on the offensive side of the ball in week 2 with the loss of both Saquon Barkley and Sterling Shepard to injury. But despite the magnitude of those losses, they face a team that was hit even harder in the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers will enter the game without Nick Bosa (ACL), Solomon Thomas (ACL), Dee Ford (back) Richard Sherman (calf), Raheem Mostert (knee), and Tevin Coleman (knee). The could well also be without QB Jimmy Garrapolo who suffered a high ankle sprain in week 2 as well.
But the 49ers remain a dangerous opponent despite the injuries, and an opponent who are already in a dogfight for what is shaping up to be a very competitive division. What do the Giants face on Sunday?
