New York Giants coach Joe Judge and several players who spoke after Sunday’s 17-13 loss to the Chicago Bears, didn’t want to admit what they likely already know. The knee injury suffered by Saquon Barkley will almost certainly cost him the season.
“In terms of Saquon individually I don’t have a diagnosis on his knee. He’s going to see some doctors tomorrow. We’ll wait and see what that is,” Judge said in the post-game. “Obviously we’re all praying for the best. I would just say this, regardless of whatever the outcome is going to be and what the doctors say tomorrow. I wouldn’t fall asleep on 26, it’s going to be a hell of a story either way.”
Barkley was hurt on a second quarter carry. You could see that he knew he was injured before he even hit the ground. He was helped off the field unable to put weight on his right leg, and carted to the locker room.
