NFL: New York Giants at Chicago Bears Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants start the 2020 season 0-2 after falling 17-13 in a tough loss to the Chicago Bears.

The Giants got off to about as terrible a start as they could in a disastrous first half that saw them lose Saquon Barkley and Sterling Shepard to injury while making plenty of mistakes in execution. But the Giants fought through the second half, forced some miscues for the Bears and took advantage of them. The Giants came up short with one final mistake, however, sealing their loss as time expired.

But was it all bad? Here’s the Chris and Joe Show’s quick takeaways from the game.

In this podcast

  • The latest on the injuries on Saquon Barkley and Sterling Shepard
  • What can the Giants do if Barkley is done for the year and Shepard misses significant time?
  • Non-injury negatives from the game
  • What bright spots did we see?
