The New York Giants have three players on their Wednesday injury report, the first of the week required by the league as preparations for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears begin.
All three players, linebacker Carter Coughlin (did not practice), wide receiver Golden Tate (limited participation) and linebacker Tae Crowder (full participation) have hamstring injuries.
The big one, of course, is Tate. The veteran wide receiver was listed as limited most of last week and did not play Monday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
We will have to see if his status changes during the week.
The Giants only held a walk-through practice on Wednesday.
For the Bears, wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. and tight end Jimmy Graham had veteran rest days. Linebacker Khalil Mack (knee) and linebacker robert Quinn (ankle) were limited.
Roster moves
The Giants officially added undrafted free agent wide receiver Derrick Dillon to their practice squad. He replaces Alex Bachman, who was dropped from the practice squad on Tuesday.
The Giants also have named their four protected practice squad players for this week. They are defensive back Ryan Lewis, offensive lineman Chad Slade, quarterback Cooper Rush and placekicker/punter Ryan Santoso.
