Golden Tate will not play for the New York Giants on Monday night when they face the Pittsburgh Steelers, per multiple reports. Tate, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, will headline the Giants’ inactive list.
Incredibly, Tate’s absence means that the Giants have still never gotten Tate, Saquon Barkley, Evan Engram, Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton into a game at any time in the past two seasons.
It could be considered surprising that the Giants did not activate a wide receiver with Tate out.
Guard David DeCastro (knee) is out for the Steelers.
