The 2020 NFL season kicks off Thursday night, with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs facing the Houston Texans.

It’s a rematch of last season’s AFC divisional round playoff game, when the Texans jumped to a 24-0 lead roughly 20 minutes into the game, but couldn’t hold off the Chiefs, who won convincingly, 51-31.

The game pits the sport’s two richest quarterbacks. Patrick Mahomes of Kansas City has a new 10-year, $450 million deal, and DeShaun Watson has a four-year, $156 million deal.

The Chiefs are 9.5-point favorites.
