Despite the often negative tone of those who comment here at Big Blue View, New York Giants fans overall appear to be taking an optimistic tone when it comes to the 2020 season.
As you can see from the graphic above, 64 percent of respondents to this week’s ‘SB Nation Reacts’ poll believe the Giants will surpass six victories, which is where the over/under for the Giants this season is commonly placed.
The Giants have gone just 12-36 over the past three seasons, an average of four wins per year. They have a rookie head coach, a roster featuring more than 50 percent of players with two years or less of NFL experience, and are facing preparing following an offseason that was severely limited by COVID-19. They also face a schedule which could prove far more difficult than a look at last year’s winning percentages might indicate.
Yet, our voters have chosen to begin the season with a feeling of optimism. Good for them.
