New York Giants roster rankings: Nos. 20-11

We are into the territory of players who could be keys to the New York Giants’ 2020 season as we continue to roll through our rankings of the roster.

20. DB Julian Love
19. LB Lorenzo Carter
18. P Riley Dixon
17. S Xavier McKinney
16. OT Nate Solder
15. OT Andrew Thomas
14. DT Leonard Williams
13. DT Dalvin Tomlinson
12. G Will Hernandez
11. TE Evan Engram

First, I’m going to guess that some of you will complain about having Nate Solder this high on the list. Fact is, though, the veteran left tackle remains a starter and an every down player at a premium position. That’s going to land him somewhere inside the top 25.

Julian Love is at No. 20. That’s a pretty high ranking, I know. I think, though, that Love is going to be pretty close to an every-down defender in some capacity.

Punter Riley Dixon is No. 18. I had to put him in the top 20. I mean, seriously, there were times a year ago when he was the most dependable player on the roster.

The Giants’ top two draft picks, Andrew Thomas and Xavier McKinney, land in this group.

Will Hernandez at 12 could move up if he has a good third season. Evan Engram will likely move into the top 10, maybe even top 5, if he simply stays on the field.
