New York Giants roster rankings: Nos. 30-21

We are getting down to the really important players now as we continue rolling through 90-man roster rankings for your New York Giants. Today, numbers 30-21.

29. ST Nate Ebner
28. WR/ST Cody Core
27. DT B.J. Hill
26. FB Elijhaa Penny
25. CB DeAndre Baker
24. C Spencer Pulley
23. LB Oshane Ximines
22. LB Kyler Fackrell
21. LB Ryan Connelly

I’m certain that eyebrows will be raised by DeAndre Baker at No. 25. There are a few reasons he is there. First of all, he was a 2019 starter and first-round draft pick. Secondly, what happens with Baker and his legal issues is one of the most important things we need to find out in the coming weeks. If the Giants need to replace him, how will they do that.

David Mayo, Nate Ebner, and Cody Core will be critical special teams players. Could Mayo have a real defensive role, and could Core possibly emerge as the fourth wide receiver? We’ll see.

Spencer Pulley is this high because he’s the presumptive starting center. That, obviously, could change.

Ryan Connelly is No. 21 because if he’s healthy he should earn a starting spot. If he doesn’t, things will change.

Oh, and I still think Oshane Ximines might be the biggest X-factor, at least on defense, for the 2020 Giants.
