Offensive tackle or Clemson hybrid defender Isaiah Simmons? That, by most accounts, is the choice facing the New York Giants in the 2020 NFL Draft. With less than a week to go before the draft, the mock draft community is clear in what it believes the Giants should do with the the No. 4 overall pick.
Draft an offensive tackle.
In our latest mock draft tracker, which features 54 mock drafts all conducted in April, 33 drafts (61.1 percent) have the Giants selecting an offensive tackle.
Iowa’s Tristan Wirfs remains the tackle most often mocked to the Giants. He was chosen for the Giants in 20 mocks (37.0 percent). Mekhi Becton of Louisville and Jedrick Wills of Alabama were each chosen in five mocks (9.3 percent).
We will post one more tracker, likely next Thursday on the morning of Round 1. With the buzz the last couple of days being that the Giants may have begun to hone in on Wills rather than Wirfs, it will be interesting to see if the final round of mock drafts reflects that shift.
Simmons, incidentally, was chosen in 18 of the 54 mock drafts presented below (33.3 percent).
