Giants’ roster moves: Long-snapper Casey Kreiter signed

Team preparing for life after Zak DeOssie

Casey Kreiter, former Pro Bowl long-snapper, has signed with the New York Giants the team announced Wednesday afternoon.

Kreiter spent four seasons with the Denver Broncos, making the Pro Bowl in 2018. With Denver, he was a teammate of Giants’ punter Riley Dixon for two seasons.

Long-time Giants’ long-snapper Zak DeOssie finished last season on IR, and at 36 is not expected to return for a 14th NFL season.

Colin Holba, a sixth-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2017, replaced DeOssie wiith the Giants for the final five games of the 2019 season. He remains on the roster.

A third long-snapper, Drew Scott, is also on the roster. Scott was with the Dallas Cowboys during the 2019 preseason.

The Giants also made official the signing of veteran running back Dion Lewis.
