The New York Giants did not “win” free agency. They did add a couple of talented players to the defense and bring in several useful players who should compete for playing time and — at least — add depth and flexibility to the roster.
Giants fans appear to be feeling much better after free agency about a team that has won only nine games over the past two seasons combined.
In our most recent ‘FanPulse’ survey 65.35 percent of Giants fans who voted gave the Giants’ free agency work a ‘B’ grade. Another 3.96 percent gave it an ‘A.’ That’s 69.31 percent who say they are pretty happy with the moves made by the Giants.
Fan confidence in the direction of the franchise has also risen dramatically since the end of the 2019 season, from close to. At the end of a 4-12 season confidence was at 27 percent. Now, 73 percent of our voters expressed confidence. The firing of former head coach Pat Shurmur, the hiring of Joe Judge as his replacement, and the additions made via free agency all likely contributed to that.
