Good morning, New York Giants fans!

A draft without fans?

Is this really possible?

The coronavirus is real, concerns about it are legitimate and we already know the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament will be played without fans. Would the NFL, which is all about the glitz and glamor and squeezing every last dollar out of everything it can, really cancel the draft extravaganza it has planned for Las Vegas?

While the Giants have still been actively attending Pro Days leading up to the draft, we know that NFL teams have begun altering pre-draft travel plans. The NBA has suspended its season after the news that Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert has tested positive for the coronavirus.

An NFL spokesperson did say Tuesday that at the current time the league owner’s meetings and the draft will go on as schedule.

“Our plans remain in place,” Brian McCarthy told NFL.com. “We will continue to monitor developments and share guidance as the situation warrants and as our experts recommend.”

That, however, does not mean those plans will stay in place.

Elijhaa Penny re-signed

The Giants have re-signed fullback Elijhaa Penny, with ESPN reporting that Penny will receive a two-year deal.

Penny has played in 30 games for the Giants over the past two seasons. He has averaged 2.9 yards on 22 carries and caught 10 passes in that time.

"That's been the main topic for me: What's your position?" Van Noy said. "But like I tell everybody, how good of a football player do you want? Someone who can do it all? I don't want a position.

"I kind of view myself in the Tyrann Mathieu mold. Obviously, we play different positions but he's a football player. I view myself the same way. I can play on the ball, off the ball, I can drop into coverage, I can rush the passer, I can do every single thing you want."
