On the latest edition of the ‘Valentine’s Views podcast, Scouting Academy Director Dan Hatman joins the programs to lay out his offseason plan for the New York Giants.

Here are a couple of the takeaways:

  • Hatman believes the Giants have a path to getting Yannick Ngakoue in a tag-and-trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. That would involved dropping back from No. 4 to Jacksonville’s spot at No. 9 and adding another Day 2 asset, perhaps sending the Jaguars a 2021 second-round pick.
  • Hatman would not only trade down from No. 4, he said he might be willing to do so twice to collect Day 2 draft assets. He called that the “sweet spot” in this draft and said he would aim to collect as many top 100 picks as possible.
