Linebackers took center stage during the media portion of the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine, and we have audio from several of the top prospects.
- Isaiah Simmons of Clemson told us he plays “defense,” not linebacker.
- Zack Baun of Wisconsin told us he would love the opportunity to join former Badgers teammate Ryan Connelly with the Giants.
- Yetur Gross-Matos sang the praises of Giants defensive line coach Sean Spencer, who was his position coach at Penn State, and said he would love the opportunity to play for him again.
- A.J. Epenesa of Iowa said he hopes to put to rest talk that he isn’t explosive or athletic enough when he does his on-field workouts.
Speaking of on-field workouts, they began on Thursday night with quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends. The ‘Chris and Joe Show’ will be reviewing the proceedings on Friday.
