Despite two losses in a row that have imperiled the team’s playoff hopes, fans of the New York Giants seem to be keeping the faith. In our latest ‘SB Nation Reacts’ poll, 72 percent of those who participated expressed confidence in the team. That is identical to the percentage from the previous week.
Now, are those fans expressing long-term confidence in the direction of the franchise? Or, are they showing confidence that the Giants will defeat the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys while the Washington Football Team loses at least one game, thus giving the Giants the NFC East title?
That is an open-ended question and our survey doesn’t specify, so it’s impossible to know.
The 5-9 Giants, despite losses to the Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns, still have a puncher’s chance in the division. They need two victories and at least one Washington loss.
The Giants are 10.5-point underdogs to the Ravens.
