As had been expected, quarterback Daniel Jones will be inactive for the New York Giants on Sunday night against the Cleveland Browns. Colt McCoy will start for the second time in three weeks, this time against the team that drafted him.
The Giants will also be without cornerback Darnay Holmes, who will miss his second straight game with a knee injury. Cornerback James Bradberry won’t play as he is on the Reserve/COVID-19 list as a high-risk close contact of a person outside the Giants organization who tested positive for the virus.
Clayton Thorson, elevated from the practice squad, will be the backup quarterback. Joe Webb, added from the practice squad on Saturday, will be the emergency quarterback.
Tight ends Evan Engram and Kaden Smith, both of whom had bee listed as questionable, will play for the Giants.
