The New York Giants trail the Arizona Cardinals 13-0 at halftime.
The Giants got the ball to start the game, but a strip sack from former Giant Markus Golden stole the Giants’ first possession and set the Cardinals up inside the 10-yard line. The Giants’ defense stood strong for four downs to keep Arizona out of the end zone. The Cardinals’ second drive started on the Giants’ 38-yard line and the defense showed up a second time to limit Arizona to just three points despite dominating the field position game.
The Giants’ defense stood strong until the second quarter, but an amazing throw and catch from Kyler Murray to Dan Arnold finally gave the Arizona the touchdown they had been trying to get all game.
The Giants will need to wake up in the second half, as offensive miscues and turnovers have hung their defense out to dry.
