New York Giants at The Washington Football Team: Week 9 Madden 21 Sim

Will the Giants win their second game of the year?

The New York Giants are seeking their second win of 2020 this Sunday, and luckily they face the team they beat in Week 6. Traveling to Washington to face the Football Team, they’re looking for a bounce back performance after their close loss to the Buccaneers. To test out their chances in this matchup, we simulated the game in Madden 21.

This game was extremely slow for the first three and a half quarters. Knotted at 7-7, Dustin Hopkins hit a field goal to put the Washington Football Team up by three right before the two-minute warming in the fourth quarter. In an effort to stay in the game, Daniel Jones strung together a miraculous drive, bringing the Giants within scoring range. As time expired in regulation, Graham Gano tied the game 10-10.

Overtime featured multiple back and forth defensive stops, until the Giants started with the ball for their final drive. On second and 6, Daniel Jones desperately tossed the ball out to Dion Lewis for a huge pickup, placing them in the perfect spot for a game-winning field goal. Gano soon capitalized on that opportunity, ending the game 13-10 in favor of the Giants.

Daniel Jones endured a rough day, only throwing for 180 yards with two interceptions. He was also sacked five times, twice by rookie Chase Young.

The last time the Washington Football Team faced the Giants, Madden correctly predicted the outcome. Will they be accurate again this Sunday?
