The New York Giants announced Friday morning that they have placed cornerback Ryan Lewis on the injured reserve list.
Lewis first appeared on the Giants' injury report on Sunday, where he was listed with a hamstring injury and "doubtful" for Monday night's game. The hamstring injury is, apparently, worse than a minor ding and the Giants will have to be without Lewis for at least three weeks.
Lewis had played relatively well after taking over the starting cornerback job opposite James Bradberry before suffering the hamstring injury. Third corner Isaac Yiadom started in Lewis' place and it seems likely that he will continue to start until after the Giants' upcoming bye week.
As of this writing there has been no word on what the Giants' corresponding roster move will be.
