Weirdly, coming off the New York Giants bye week, fan confidence in the team as reflected by our ‘SB Nation Reacts’ polling has actually dropped slightly. Seventy-nine (79) percent of those who voted in our most recent survey expressed confidence in the team.
That number, while remaining among the highest of the season, is down from a Week 11 season-high of 84 percent.
Perhaps that is just a reflection of fans not voting in the immediate afterglow of the first victory in nine tries over the Philadelphia Eagles, or being father removed from the Giants’ back-to-back victories.
The 3-7 Giants face the 2-7-1 Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday afternoon. A Giants victory and an Eagles loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night would put the Giants in first place in the NFC East, since they would hold the tie-breaker advantage over the Washington Football Team.
