Giants set to battle high-flying Tampa Bay offense on MNF

Giants fall short: The Giants scored a touchdown with 28 seconds remaining on a 19-yard pass from Daniel Jones to Golden Tate, but could not convert a 2-point try and lost, 25-23. The Giants are 1-7. Tampa Bay is 6-2.

Bucs go up 8: Ryan Succop hit a 38-yard field to make the score 25-17 Tampa Bay with 3:44 to play. The Giants, out of timeouts, will need a touchdown and 2-point conversion to tie.

Bucs take 22-17 lead: Tampa Bay took advantage of Daniel Jones’ second interception of the game to retake the lead. After Jones’ interception, the Buccaneers went 66 yards in six plays to take the lead on an 8-yard pass from Tom Brady to Mike Evans with 9:02 to play.

Giants back on top: The Giants took a 17-15 lead on a 33-yard field goal by Graham Gano with 19 seconds left in the third quarter. The big play on a 10-play, 54-yard drive was a 30-yard completion to Evan Engram.

Bucs take 15-14 lead: Tampa Bay took the lead with 6:05 left in the third quarter on a 3-yard pass from Tom Brady to Rob Gronkowski. A 2-point conversion attempt failed.

Bucs pull within 14-9: Tampa Bay turned a Daniel Jones interception into a 43-yard Ryan Succop field goal to pull within five points, 14-9, with 10:05 to play in the third quarter.

Giants lead 14-6 at the half: A Ryan Succop 40-yard field goal for Tampa Bay made it 14-6 Giants just before the half. The Giants, 12.5-point underdogs when the game began, get the ball to begin the third quarter.

Giants take 14-3 lead: The Giants continued a surprising first half by going 77 yards in 10 plays to take a 14-3 lead with 1:49 left in the first half. The touchdown came on a 2-yard run by Wayne Gallman.

Giants finish first quarter with 7-3 lead. The Bucs scored on a 37-yard Ryan Succop field goal. The Giants answered with a 7-yard pass to Dion Lewis after a Tampa Bay turnover. Daniel Jones is 6 of 9 passing for 40 yards and a touchdown.

The Giants lead, 7-3, with 4:10 left in the first quarter. They took advantage of a fumble by Tampa Bay’s Ronald Jones to go 12 yards in three plays, with the score coming on a brilliant catch by Dion Lewis for a 7-yard score on a pass from Daniel Jones.
