Do the New York Giants have the ability to string together back to back wins this year? The best way to find out is by simulating the game in Madden 21 as we do every week.
For the first score of this contest, Giants running back Devonta Freeman reached pay dirt from one yard out. While Freeman was placed on the IR on Friday, he did participate in this fictional game.
Carson Wentz eventually tied the game at the end of the first half by hitting Travis Fulgham for a five yard touchdown reception. Right after halftime ended, Graham Gano extended the lead 10-7 for the Giants.
The major momentum shifter in this one was an interception by Blake Martinez at midfield halfway through the third quarter. That pick eventually set up a Wayne Gallman rushing touchdown, pushing the score to 17-7. Another Gano field goal upped the game to 20-7.
The game was practically over at this point, as the Eagles didn’t score until 36-second left. Oddly enough with 19 seconds remaining and only up by 6 points, the Giants attempted a fourth down conversion. That conversion ended up being a 36-yard touchdown by Golden Tate.
Aside from the interception, Martinez also finished the day with seven tackles. Daniel Jones also did not turn the ball over for the second straight game, and threw for over 200 yards.
We’ll find out this weekend if this week’s Madden sim will come to fruition.
