The New York Giants are 0-4 and lost last Sunday to the Los Angeles Rams, 17-9. Yet, confidence among voters in our ‘SB Nation Reacts’ poll actually rose from a season-low 37 percent to 48 percent.
Maybe that is because of the Giants’ defense, which held the high-flying Los Angeles offense to season lows in points and yards (240).
Maybe that is because the offense, which is the league’s lowest-scoring, hasn’t found the end zone since Week 2 and still does not have a 300-yard game this season, finally showed signs of life in the second half vs. the Rams.
Maybe that is because poll results simply corrected themselves somewhat after confidence nose-dived from 72 percent to 37 percent after the 36-9 Week 3 drubbing by the San Francisco 49ers.
Here are the confidence levels from the fan bases of the other three NFC East teams:
Dallas Cowboys (Blogging the Boys) — 14 percent
Philadelphia Eagles (Bleeding Green Nation) — 34 percent
Washington Football Team (Hogs Haven) — 58 percent
Fans voting in our national poll say only the New York Jets are worse than the Giants.
