The New York Giants trail the Los Angeles Rams 10-6 at halftime.
The game did not get off to the kind of start the Giants would have hoped. New York got the ball to start the game, with their first drive ending in a punt after three plays for -7 yards. The Rams proceeded to march down the field on a touchdown drive in which the Giants’ defense offered little resistance.
The Giants caught a break after their second failed drive, when Rams’ tight end Gerald Everett coughed up the ball trying to pick up a first down, giving the Giants the ball within striking distance. New York was eventually able to get on the board with a field goal.
Daniel Jones was under heavy pressure throughout the first half, with the Rams swarming him whenever the Giants tried to look downfield, sacking him four times. Jones finished the first half completing 8 of 13 attempts (61.5 percent) for 48 yards (3.7 yards per attempt).
The Giants got pressure of their own, sacking Jared Goff twice while Dalvin Tomlinson picked up a pair of batted passes and a great stop on an attempted screen play.
Use this as your open thread as the Rams get the ball to start the second half.
