Safety Julian Love, who had been questionable with knee and ankle injuries, is active Sunday for the New York Giants against the Los Angeles Rams. That’s good news because the Giants’ other starting safety, Jabrill Peppers, had already been ruled out with an ankle injury.
One seemingly strange note for the Giants is that rookie wide receiver Austin Mack is inactive. The Giants added Mack, an undrafted free agent from Ohio State, to their roster on Saturday. It’s strange that they would do that because it wastes one of the two times Mack can be recalled from and returned to the practice squad without having to be passed through waivers or signed to the 53-man roster for the rest of the season.
Also, cornerback Madre Harper is active for the Giants after just joining the team on Thursday.
