Which Los Angeles Rams player would you want for the New York Giants?

I forgot to do this earlier in the week, but with time to kill before the New York Giants face the Los Angeles Rams at 4:05 p.m. ET let’s discuss which member of the Rams would be the best player to add to the Giants’ roster.

For starters, we are NOT including star defensive tackle Aaron Donald. That’s too easy and, to be fair, I usually exclude Saquon Barkley when I ask rival writers which Giant they would take. So, Donald is off the table.

The Giants desperately need playmakers on either side of the ball. With that in mind, a perusal of the Rams’ roster makes this an obvious two-horse race. It’s either cornerback Jalen Ramsey, a three-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro in four NFL seasons, or wide receiver Cooper Kupp, who caught 94 passes last season for the Rams.

For me, I think the choice is clear. It’s Ramsey.

The 25-year-old was the fifth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is unquestionably one of the best cornerbacks in the game, and would immediately turn James Bradberry into one of the league’s best No. 2 cornerbacks. He would also immediately become the best defensive player on the Giants’ roster.

Ramsey’s 2019 season and the beginning of this year haven’t lived up to the work he did his first couple of seasons. This player, though, is a true difference-maker. Here’s more on Ramsey’s 2020 season.
