NFL: Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The (1-6) Atlanta Falcons roll into Bank of America Stadium on Thursday Night Football to battle the (4-3) Carolina Panthers.

This game has its share of interest despite the off-putting records. The Falcons keep finding ways to lose games but their offense is fun to watch. In fact, the Falcons currently boast the NFL’s third-best passing attack.

Carolina, on the other hand, is one of the NFL’s feel good stories of the year. Former Baylor coach Matt Rhule is pulling his team further and further away from that once-desired 2021 No. 1 draft choice. With four wins in seven games, Panthers fans aren’t even thinking of the draft.

And while some may be surprised at Carolina’s offensive output, wde receivers Robby Anderson and DJ Moore, are both well on their way to 1,000-yard seasons. Anderson, Rhule’s guy from his days coaching at Temple, already has 640 yards on 46 catches, while Moore has 567 yards on 43 catches. The pair is quietly proving themselves as one of the league’s premier receiving duos.

And Carolina’s defense? It’s middle of the pack by NFL standards, but performing much better than Atlanta’s, the NFL’s second-worst defense.

Here’s everything you need to know.
