The New York Giants will be looking for their first victory in eight tries against the Philadelphia Eagles when they meet Thursday night at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia (8:20 p.m. ET, FOX/NFL Network, Amazon Prime Video).
The 1-5 Giants are 4.5-point underdogs to the 1-4-1 Eagles. In a woeful NCF East led by the 2-4 Dallas Cowboys both teams still have a chance to win the division despite only having one victory apiece.
“Our division is winnable. We have to go out here and win some games in our division to put us in a position at the end of the year to strike. That’s what we’re doing week in and week out. You prepare hard to put yourself in position to win the game,” said Giants defensive back Logan Ryan. “At the end of the game, I think three or four games this year have come down to the final drive. Our record can swing either way. We found a way to win last week. We need to find a way to win this week.”
The Giants will have Sterling Shepard in the lineup for the first time since he suffered a turf toe injury in Week 2. Shepard was activated from IR Thursday afternoon.
Here are the Giants inactives:
S Adrian Colbert (shoulder)
WR CJ Board (concussion)
CB Darnay Holmes (neck)
TE Eric Tomlinson
OL Jackson Barton
DL RJ McIntosh
DE Jabaal Sheard
