The hot streak for the Madden 21 simulation continues into Week 7. So far, the only incorrect game Madden has predicted for the New York Giants is their narrow Week 2 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Can the streak remain in tact tomorrow when the Giants face the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football? Let’s see how the game could look.
Unlike last week’s sim, this game featured a lot of scoring, and in very last-second fashion. The Giants scored the first points of the game from a Graham Gano field goal, but would later lose their lead when DeSean Jackson powered his way into the end zone.
Philadelphia expanded its lead with their own field goal, but not for long. Thanks to a long Evan Engram reception, the Giants tied the game at 10-10 at the very end of the first half.
The third quarter featured more back and fourth scoring, ending off with a 17-17 tie. At the very beginning of the fourth, Carson Wentz found tight end Richard Rodgers in the red zone to take a 24-17 lead. As time was running out for New York, Daniel Jones tossed his own passing touchdown right before the two-minute warning.
The Giants defense mustered a crucial stop, forcing the Eagles to punt the ball with less than 30 seconds remaining. On the very next play, Dion Lewis took a dump off pass all the way down to the Eagles 27-yard line. That play would set up a game winning Gano field goal on a final score of 27-24.
Daniel Jones finished the game very efficiently, going 18-for-21 for 229 yards with one score. Devonta Freeman also rushed for a strong 85 yards and one touchdown.
If Thursday’s game resembles the Madden version even the slightest bit, it could be a very exciting night.
