The New York Giants may be gearing up to battle a very depleted Philadelphia Eagles squad on Thursday Night Football.
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortenson, the (1-4-1) Eagles expect both TE Zach Ertz and RB Miles Sanders to miss the game with injuries. And that’s not all, tweeted Mortenson:
The @Eagles are also looking at possible two-week injury absences for DL Malik Jackson and T Jack Driscoll but guardedly hopeful on getting couple players back for game vs. @Giants on TNF. https://t.co/JpgXL0KYMC

The veteran defensive lineman Malik Jackson is dealing with a quad issue. Meanwhile, right tackle Jack Driscoll was carted off the field with an ankle injury during the Ravens game. Wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey, linebacker Duke Riley and safety Marcus Epps are all listed as out for the Eagles by ESPN.
For the Giants, linebacker Lorenzo Carter (Achilles) has yet to be placed on IR but is out for the year. Safety Adrian Colbert (shoulder) is unlikely to play. Wide receiver C.J. Board and cornerback Darnay Holmes suffered injuries on Sunday vs. the Washington Football Team.
The (1-5) Giants head into the game after having finally achieved their first win Sunday at home, a 20-19 squeaker against the Washington Football Team.
The Eagles, meanwhile, nearly came back from a 24-6 third-quarter deficit to the Baltimore Ravens, losing 30-28. An unsuccessful two-point conversion pushed them to 1-4-1 on the season.
The Giants take on the Eagles Thursday night at 8:20 p.m. on FOX.
