Good morning, New York Giants fans!
Daniel Jones: “It takes all of us”
Quarterbacks coach Jerry Schuplinski says he isn’t worried about the constant losing — a 3-15 record in his 18 career starts — affecting Daniel Jones. According to Schuplinski, there are no signs the young quarterback is “shell-shocked.”
Jones said Thursday that the losing “is disappointing at times. It’s frustrating.” He also said he tries not to allow that to affect the way he plays.
“It takes all of us, and that’s the only way we’re going to be successful. It takes all 11 guys on both sides of the ball executing, all three phases of the game executing, and doing it at a high level every play,” Jones said. “It’s not any one guy doing more than his job. It’s just doing your job and executing at a high level, play in and play out. You don’t know which play is going to ultimately decide the game.”
Kyler Fackrell’s message: “Keep working”
The Giants are 0-5. They have been close in four of those games. Edge defender Kyler Fackrell believes fortunes will eventually turn.
“Definitely, guys are frustrated. I think Coach Judge has done a great job of keeping us focused. I think we all have kind of bought in. We’re doing the right things. We’re working every day, working the right way,” Fackrell said on Wednesday. “I think we just have to keep working and keep moving forward with the belief that it’s going to turn.”
