Dallas ties the score at 34-34 with 1:56 left in the game on a 40-yard field goal by Greg Zuerlein.
The Giants take advantage of Dallas backup quarterback Andy Dalton fumbling a snap from center by recovering, then taking the lead five plays later on a 4-yard run by Deonta Freeman. A two-point conversion pass to left tackle Andrew Thomas makes it 34-31 Giants with 8:46 to play.
Graham Gano’s fourth field goal, this one from just 28 yards, pulls the Giants within five points. It’s Dallas 31, Giants 26 with 11:09 to play.
Three plays after the Prescott injury Ezekiel Elliott goes 12 yards for a touchdown that pushes the Dallas lead to 31-23 with 5:03 left in the third quarter.
Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott was taken off the field with 6:46 left in the third quarter after an ugly-looking injury to his right leg when he was tackled by Logan Ryan of the Giants after gaining 9 yards on a quarterback draw. Don’t look at the video below if you have a weak stomach.

Giants take 20-17 lead with :56 left in the half as Graham Gano hits 50-yard field goal. Could have been more as Giants had a touchdown on a field field goal pass from Riley Dixon to Evan Engram wiped out on an illegal shift penalty.
Dallas ties the game at 17-17 on a sack/fumble of Daniel Jones returned for a score with 5:00 left in the half. First-round pick Andrew Thomas beaten off the edge by Demarcus Lawrence. Anthony Brown ran 29 yards for the score.

The 0-4 New York Giants enter the NFC East portion of their schedule on Sunday when the travel to AT&T Stadium to face the 1-3 Dallas Cowboys.
Even winless, the Giants still have a chance to be a factor in the division. The Philadelphia Eagles lead the NFC East at 1-2-1.
Before they can think about anything bigger, though, the Giants need to get into the win column.
“The only focus we have had this week is really we’re 0-0 right now this week. We’re trying to be 1-0 when Sunday is done,” coach Joe Judge said. “The Cowboys are the only opponent we have this week and that’s really the sole focus we have as a team.”
Giants safety Jabrill Peppers said during the week that while fans may have tossed in the towel on the 2020 season, Giants players have not.
“We don’t really pay attention to the outside noise. We know there is a lot of football left to be played. We know the leader in our division is 1-2-1, so everything is still pretty much up in the air,” Peppers said. “We’re coming in here, getting better each and every day fundamentally, staying in good condition. It’s just about going out there, playing complementary football on Sundays and putting everything together. It doesn’t matter how good things look at practice. It matters how special teams plays and gets the field position, if offense puts up the points and if the defense is just making stops.
“We’re definitely doing our due diligence, and there’s a lot of football left to be played. We know that and we’re ready. We’re ready for the long haul.”
Everything you need to know about Sunday’s game is below. This post will be updated before and during the game, so follow along.
