The first big step in the process leading to the 2020 NFL Draft has been taken with the Reese’s Senior Bowl being played over the weekend.
The Senior Bowl can be huge for prospects, as it gives seniors who might be under the radar or from smaller schools a chance to shine with NFL coaching in front of every team’s scouting department. The Senior Bowl has figured heavily in the New York Giants drafts over the years, with Justin Pugh, Weston Richburg, Sterling Shepard, Davis Webb, Kyle Lauletta, B.J. Hill, Oshane Ximines, and Daniel Jones all having strong performances in their respective Senior Bowls.
It would almost be a surprise if there wasn’t a future Giant among the players on the field this past Saturday.
The next step in the process will be the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine.
But for now, in our own process, the Chris and Joe Show offers our closing thoughts on the Senior Bowl as well as a look at the Giants’ defensive line and EDGE players. We look at how they stand now, and what the Giants’ options are going forward.
