Good morning, New York Giants fans!

Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora stump for Antonio Pierce’s NFL coaching bid

Former teammates hope to see Pierce on Joe Judge’s staff.

“Please God tell me @Giants are hiring him,” Tuck wrote. “Unbelievable smart football player. Probably the smartest football player I played with and that is saying a lot.”

Pierce is currently assistant head coach for Herm Edwards at Arizona State. He also works with the team’s linebackers.

I’m told Pierce has turned down other offers to leave Edwards’ staff, including one from an NFL team. Could the Giants be the right opportunity for him?

Ian Rapoport is reporting that both sides would like to see a deal get done between Jason Garrett and the Giants to be the team’s offensive coordinator.
