The already-reeling New York Giants (0-1) open their home schedule on Sunday vs. the 1-0 Buffalo Bills, fresh off an an uplifting come-from-behind 17-16 victory at MetLife Stadium Sunday vs. the New York Jets.
Can the Giants avoid the dreaded 0-2 start, from which only 13 percent of teams starting that way have recovered to make the playoffs since 1990?
The defense, certainly, will have to play much better than it did in Sunday’s 35-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
The offense will have to find a way to get more, and more important, touches for star running back Saquon Barkley.
