How bad did the New York Giants look on Sunday vs. the Dallas Cowboys? Bad enough that oddsmakers have made them an early underdog in their home opener next Sunday vs. the Buffalo Bills.

BetOnline has listed the Giants as 2.5-point underdogs to the 1-0 Buffalo Bills, 17-16 come-from-behind winners on Sunday over the New York Jets.

Opening odds via SB Nation’s partner, Odds Shark, showed the Giants as 2.5-point favorites. That quickly shifted, with the Giants listed as anywhere from 1 to 2.5-point underdogs depending upon which line you prefer to go with.

Only 30 of 230 teams (13 percent) have qualified for the playoffs since the NFL changed the format in 1990. So, if the Giants are going to have any realistic chance of playing meaningful games in 2019, beating the Bills on Sunday would be a good idea.
