Not many people expect much from the New York Giants in 2019, but predictions never seem to work out well in the NFL. Still, with a collection of stars having now moved on from Big Blue, the team will have its work cut out for it in the NFC East.

New York travels to Dallas to play the Cowboys in Arlington for its opening game of the 2019 season. Dallas’ star running back Ezekiel Elliott finally signed his big contract this week, and we will have to see how much he plays for Dallas.

On the Giants sideline, it looks like the entire offense is ready to go save for Golden Tate, as he waits out his four-game suspension. Sterling Shepard is ready to go, and that’s a good thing: he had career highs in receptions (66) and receiving yards (872) in 2018. Meanwhile, tight end Evan Engram looks to catch a touchdown pass for the third game in a row against the Cowboys.

Meanwhile, veteran linebacker B.J. Goodson was sent packing to Green Bay. In his place is a former Dave Gettleman draft pick in linebacker David Mayo.

Fan favorite Alonzo Russell was cut loose much to the chagrin of Giants fans, and former Bengals receiver Cody Core joined the team in his place.
